Join Us for the Next Advancement & Outreach Progress Party!
July 22, 2009 5:30 pm-7:00 pm
Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille, Austin
The Advancement & Outreach Council exists to provide a live Make–A-Wish® moment to the community on a quarterly basis. This is a time where Make-A-Wish enthusiasts come together as friends of the Foundation to help introduce to Make-A-Wish their community contacts and associations, and experience the magic of a wish as one of our amazing families shares their story. We hope you’ll join us at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille and meet Wish Kid Grace and hear about the incredible experience of her one heart-felt wish. Below is picture of Grace enjoying herself on her wish to Disney World.

"I wish to meet... Michael Jordan!"
Jordan, a 5 yr old boy from Helotes with Neuroblastoma, wished to meet Michael Jordan. His wish came true last month when his mom, dad, sister and he flew to Chicago on April 6th. Jordan and his family spent an afternoon with Michael Jordan where they visited with Michael and other wish families. Wish child, Jordan, was the youngest fan in the room but he had lots of questions for Michael. One question he asked Michael Jordan was, “Who do you like better, Batman or Spiderman?” Michael replied, “Batman!”
Jordan and his family were treated to a Chicago Bulls basketball game against the Philadelphia 76’ers. They got to sit behind the 76’ers bench and were seen on the television several times by their family in Texas. The family also got to do some sightseeing while in Chicago and visited the Shedd Aquarium, Brookfield Zoo, John Hancock Center, and the Sears Tower. Jordan’s most favorite part of the wish was meeting Michael Jordan in person; he was just in awe and followed him around all afternoon.
